  1. The peopleof the district still make baskets. At first a bundle of sally rods is got. A hoop ismade from abig wooden stick. A stick is bent and is put into the hoop and then it is tied with a wire or rope. The man weaves or knits the rods into the basket and every four or five inches he puts in another stich such as he put in at first. The basket isnot to be flat. There should be a hollow in the middle of it. If the people had not any baskets they would not have anything to put their potatoes on.
