    Long ago there were many industries in this country.

    Long ago there were many industries in this county There were spinning wheels, and handlooms in many of the houses in the district.
    The real homespun tweeds and flannels were made from the thread, which had been spun on these spinning wheels.
    In those far-back times old Grandma sat at the spinning wheel in every kitchen through the country.
    She wore a white bordered cap, and a little plaid shawl on her shoulders.
