    There are many local ruins around this country. In Mr. Charles Bluies field of Ballymagan there is the ruins of an old fort; and an old house also. The Danes were supposed to have lived in this fort during the time of the fighting in Ireland.
    It was said that a few years after the Danes had left this fort that any unbaptised children of the District were buried inside this fort. This fort was built of clay and it was along time until it fell into ruins.
