    One time a man named Billy Paddy Doherty lived in Conblosk.
    He was very careless and did not bother much about his farm. He earned a living by cutting turf in the bog, and carting it to the town.
    He had only a pony - and a goat and one old cow. He used the pony for carrying the turf to the market.
    Usually the money he got for the turf went to the public house.
    People tried to advise him to be wise and save a little and then get married He always promised to turn a new leaf, but when he would reach a public house he would have to go in One Summer's night when the moon was shining - two neighbours boys - named Paddy Mc Gee and John Mc Carron decided to wait
