    The church at Cockhill is not built on the site where the foundation stone was first laid.
    One Summer's evening five little girls went to play near where the church of St Marys is built. The houses in which they lived were convenient to each other. Three came out of one house, and two out of the other, and they played together for a while, but later the children divided, one of the two went with two of the adjoining house. After a time the three little girls were lost to the two and they were searching for them among the clumps
