  1. In olden times caves were very common in Ireland.
    These caves were used by the Danes for protection during the fighting in Ireland. They can be found also at Mass Rocks, where the priest lived when he was saying Mass at the rock.
    The priests are supposed to have lived in the caves that are convenient to the Mass Rocks to keep themselves hidden from the authorities when there was a price on each priest's head.
