  1. In olden times , the people used to get a kind of herb, called bug beans.
    These beans were found in swampy land. When the people got the beans ,they put them on the boil, till they were dried.
    Then the water that was left , was drunk and some people put limestone on the hearth, till it was hot and then it was put in the water,
    The reason the limestone was put in the water, was because , when the water was taken from the beans , it ws very bitter, and the limestone was put in , to make the water mild.
