  1. (continued from previous page)
With a band of loyal helpers
None more loyal I'll go bail
I worked for weeks from morn till night
In support of Cumann na Gaedheal
Though from the start we all could see,
    That things were looking blue
Still, we shouted @No Surrender in 1932."
    III
We waged a very strong campaign
    Against the Fianna Fail
    And canvassed all the Unionists
    In the county Donegal
We said a lot of nasty things
    Which for evermore we'll rue
For we lost the big election in 1932.
    4.
Now I will give a good advice
    Without the usual fee
Let no man take a part with those
    Who don't want Ireland free
For at a Sinn Fein meeting
    I merely shouted "Boo"
And two black eyes was all I got in 1932.
    Colm Mc Laughlin.
