  2. Long ago in the Penal days a priest came to hide in Buncrana from the English. When he came to Buncrana he was seen by two non-Catholic women who took him to their home which was situated near the present Post Office. They hid him there until it was safe for him to go away. Not very long after the priest had gone away he was captured by two English yeomen who took him out the Cockhill road to the river Crana
