  1. One time a crowd of men began to play cards in Johnny Loughrey's house in Trillick. They played every night for a fortnight and then they bought a card-table. One of the men was James Friel and one night he invited them to come and play at his house. He agreed to take the card-table with him and when they left that night he set out for home with the card table on his back. When he was about a mile from home he met a man. "Hello James" said the man "will you play me a game of cards". "I will" said James "but where is the light." "I have a candle" said the man. James put down the card table and produced a pack of cards from his pocket. James won the first game and then he dealt the
