  1. On a farm in the Parish of Desertegney there is a fairy fort underneath the ground. It is supposed to have been made by the Danes, and afterwards to have become a home of the fairies. There is a large stone in front of the entrance which however is now filled up. Many years ago when it was open a person counted seven rooms. There is a passage running back for about a quarter of a mile. The old people say that in days gone by they used to hear the fairies dancing and singing.
The man that was supposed to have seen the fairies last is Neal Mc Grory of Sharagone.
