    There are about seven shoemakers in this district. There are far more shoemakers now than there were in former times because there are more people wearing shoes now. Clogs were worn and in some parts they are worn yet.

A neighbour told him to cork his chimneys and darken his windows till he would be done and that whoever would be taking the butter would come and ask for the loan of a milk tub. The
