  1. (I)
You maidens of beauty, Im assure your forlorn
From Glasgo I wandered, So far from my home
I was out in the moonlight, at daybreak of morn
I was found in the mountains of "Dark Inishowen".

    (II)
I roamed through a place sure they call it Clonmany
In search of a fair one that I might adore
But a fair one to love me, I couldnt' find any
From Mindon bridge to the gap of Mamore.

    (III)
Though oceans divide us and dreams do caress
Sure I am as happy as if I were at home
By the salt sandy beach, where the salt seas are sweeling
From Tullaghs' Black rock to the gap of Mamore.
