    and on to the back of a white steed which he had. He had not gone far when the English soldiers called after him saying "Come back and we will give you you liberty" so he believed them and came back but as soon as they laid their hands on him instead of giving him his liberty they all drew their swords from their scalbards and they beheaded him. This is the true story of how Father Hegarty went to his sorrowful death.
