    There are three or four shoemakers whose grand-fathers wers shoemakers. In former times clogs were worn. Thers was a tannery working at Bridgend seven miles from Buncrana about fifty years ago. The pits of the tannery are there yet. Raw cow hide was at one time used for covering the feet.
