The Robroy was wrecked and lost in the year 1891 out in the Hill Bay shore. It was going to Letterkenny and the big gale tossed it upside down and James the Pilot was lost and Thomas McLoughlin and his son was drowned also. This boat was full of sand and it sank too with the weight, some of it was thrown against a house round the shore, the house is now in ruins. Some people say that the anchor is round at the castle buried in the sand and some other part of it is up at Mr Glenn's.
