  1. Some people began to wear boots at the age of one year and others never wore them till they were about five years old. Some people hardly ever wore shoes at any time of the year. Others never wore any in Summer. There are two shoemakers in Newtowncunningham, Logan and Collons.
    Men that are working wear clogs in the fields in Winter. Some boys wear them in Winter, when the snow is on. Others just wear fine boots.
