  1. The Care of Our Farm Animals
These are the names of the animals on Mr. Chambers farm: - The horses, the cows, the calves, the sheep, the lambs, the dog and the cat. I don't know the names of the cows. Where you are driving the cows into the field you say. "Hough". Where you are calling the calves you say "Sug". Where you are calling the dog you call, "Here, Here". When you are calling the cat you call, "Pussy, pussy".
The cowhouse is white-washed inside and outside. It is caledd a byre. The cows are tied by chains to stakes.
The tyings are not home-made. There are four windows. There are no branches or emblems in the cowhouse.
I don't know any stories connected with milking.
The stable is a house for horses whitewashed outside and inside with stands in it for horses. The fodde is corn, hay or straw and a drink. The smith does the shoeing.
