- Here are a number of names of fields. "The Glen Field" The field has got this name because there is a Glenn in it.
"Peggy's Field" this field is besides Mr porterfield's [?]. There was an old woman living in the house beside porterfield's she used to be always out in the field in front of her house singing. Ever since the field is known as Peggy's Field. Peggy was the name of the old woman.
"The Dish Field" it got this name because it is the shape of a dish. There is a hollow in the center and it is raised up all around.
"The Quarry Field" this field was given this name because people used to quarry out of it long ago.
"The Fort Field" There is a fort in the field, and this is how it has got its name.
"The sty [?]" There are a successive of very steep [?] With bushes growing thickly on them.
