  1. The Mermaid.
    The mermaid is said to have a woman's body and the tail of a fish.
    One i heard a story about a mermaid.
    "The mermaid had a stone, she used to come out and comb her hair on it. One day a fisherman saw her and he threw the stone into the sea. When he was out she came and took out his baby and cradle and there them into the sea also.
    I heard Mrs Darragh of Lifford telling this story.
