  1. I live in the townland of Lifford, in the Barnoy of Raphoe, in the parish of Clonleigh South, in the county of Donegal. There were a lot of thatched houses in Lifford long ago, but now they are taking the thatch off and putting on slates instead. There are not very many of old woman or men in Lifford now, but there is one old woman who can speak Irish. Her name is Mrs Brian.
