In dealing with words, customs and habits peculiar locally, I would emphasise at the offset, that these are relics of generations of people, popular to the present-day Presbyterian and Protestant families and are in no way imported, by intermarriage by native Gaelic speakers from outside Gaeltachts
    I have met and spoken to every Gaelic native speaker in this district. They are mostly women from Glenfinn district, who married into the labouring class here. In case of interest, I am appending their names, and where they are.
