Gaelic culture are the names of the townlands and the historic sites of the O Donnell Castles at Castlefin and Killygordon. I am now going to give a list of the townlands of the parish with their Irish equivalents and meanings where possible, along with a list of the prominent names (I would refer the reader to page 121 where one can get examples of the planter names). The line of demarcation can be seen on either side of the Finn rich lands where Protestant and Presbyterian planters set in. The Catholics are predominant on the southern side of a line from Sessiagh O Neill to Carricklee, near Strabane, where mountain and bog fringe the valley.
