    There are four corners on my bed. There are four angels round it spread, Martha, Mark, Luke, and John. God Bless the bed that I lie on. If any evil spirit comes to me. O Blessed Jesus waken me.
    As I kneel down on my confession Chair.
    I hope that Jesus will meet me there.
    And every sin that I forget.
    O Blessed Jesus wipe it out.
    God bless Friday and good Friday too.
    The day Our Lord was crucified.
    The wicked Jews were standing by,
    With sharp spears in their hand.
    Good Saviour, Saint Saviour pity me.
    And don’t let me die in misery.
