  1. (continued from previous page)
Once upon a time a man caught a mermaid and he took her home and left her on the dresser and fed her every day. One night some men went out to fish and they caught a seal. They took it home and threw it on the floor. The mermaid leaped down from the dresser and she said that that was her brother seal, so she went out crying and was never seen again.
