  1. This is how I amuse myself in the Summer. I go out to a field and I sit down and I read a book. When I get tired reading, I pull the little primroses. I pull out the stem. Then there is a nice round hole in the flower. I put a cotton thread through it.
    When I have a long string of primroses made. I knot the ends of the thread to form a necklace. It remain fresh looking for a day. Primroses are the only flowers I string.
