    The following is a list of the signs of rain.
    1 Swallows flying low over the fields.
    2 Midges gathering in crowds in the air.
    3 Donkeys braying in the evening.
    4 Crickets chirping on the hearth.
    5 The cat sitting with her back to the fire.
    6 A lot of snails on the sides of roads.
    7 Insects gathering on the top of pools of water.
    8 If the sky is red in the evening it is a sign of good weather and red in the morning it is a sign of storm.
    9 If little birds come into the house it is a sign of storm.
    10 If the moon has a ring around her it is a sign of rain and storm.
