    The Gortmonagh forge was only opened two years ago.
    Kindrum forge is owned by Frank Sheils for the last thirty years. Before this a man named Murgy owned it.
    Croghan forge was started by the Logues from Glenvar a year ago. Before this it was only a sheep house.
    Rosnakill forge is owned by the Thompsons as long as my father can remember.
    Some of the roofs are thatched but they are nearly all slated.
    The door in Glinsk forge is in two halves and it is a very large door but I cannot say what kind of doors are in the other forges.
    There is only one hearth in the forges around this
