    The following is the way in which Hares and Hounds is played. Two or there children that can run quickly are chosen for hounds. All the others pretend they are hares.
    They have dens in the corners of the play ground and if they get to these dens they cannot be caught by the hounds.

    Told by my father William Morrow Leatbeg on 15th April 1938. Age 59 years. A Farmer. Born and reared in Leatbeg. Spent his life there also.
