    Told by Frank McKemey, Ballyheerin, on Friday night 14th January 1938. A Smith. Born and reared in Ballyheerin. Spent life there also.
    Another day the same man - Patrick Kerr, went in a boat called the Grania Móp (Mór ?)to Portrush.
    A swimming match was to take place in Portrush that day. The Captain of the boat Peter Mitchel, made the sailors hurry the boat so as to arrive in Portrush in time for the swimming match.
    The Captain paid half a crown and got Patrick entered for the swimming contest.
    There were twelve swimmers to swim five singles. While
