  1. Mrs. B. Carr, Caren. Ballynashagh, Co. Donegal got three first prizes and one second for homespun tweed - the pattern of bird's eye and herring bone - at the shows in Letterkenny. She also got first prize for a pair of stocking that she spun herself and then she knitted them herself.
    Miss A. Mc. Carron Doaghcraabbin, Portsalon, she got first prizes at all the shows in Letterkenny at which she had any tweeds
    She got five first prizes and one second and after she would get the prizes she would sell the tweed at the sales.
    Mrs. J. Carr, leverock, Rossnakill, Lifford, Co. Donegal got second prize for tweed the pattern was herring bone. it was the real home spun It was not dyed. she got the prize at the Letterkenny show.
