  1. The Fanad Ghost story is the most romantic story in Fanad.
    An ancestor of the present Foster family insulted a priest who was passing with his hounds when out hunting through a tilled field of Fosters.
    The priest called down some maladiction on the household & that very night the inmates of the Foster household discovered their home was haunted. The chairs hopped from them when they were about to be seated; the eggs put on to boil might remain quietly until boiled but when placed in the egg-cups to be eaten out hopped chirping
