  1. The night of the dead was on the first night of November. It is said that on that night the dead people come back to the house where they were born.
    The custom round here is for the people to clean up the house when they are going to bed. Then they sweep the floor and put on a big fire and put the chairs sitting round the fire. Some of the people say three Rosaries on that night for the Dead. On the night after the night of the dead the people leave on the fire till twelve o'clock and then they put it out.
