  1. One of the customs at Xmas time are the people going out to "mum" These are the rhymes they use.
    The first man goes up to the door and asks if there is any admittance for "Mummers" if he is received he enters the house and this is his rhyme -
    "Room, room, ye gallant boys and give us room to rhyme -
    And we'll show you some activity about the Xmas time. If you don't believe in what I say I'll call in Gillespy and he'll soon clear the way" - and this is his rhyme - "Here comes I Gilespy - Gilespy is my name and with my sword and pistol I intend to win the game."
    Then comes another man and and says -
    "The game sir, the game sir, it is not in your power I'll cut you up in inches in less than one half hour."
    Then He attacks Gillespy and he
