  1. An Old Story

There is an old red quarry situated in the High Cairn and it belongs to Mrs Bob Davison and it is supposed to be haunted.

There is an old red quarry situated in the High Cairn and it belongs to Mrs. Bob Davison and it is supposed to be haunted.
One night the late Tommy Ferguson was coming from Rathmullen and it was about eleven o'clock. When he came to the red quarry he saw a whin bush and it was consumed in flames.
He went up to the same place the next morning and the bush was not burned at all.
The same night Alic McClure saw a man cross the road on his hands and knees.
Long ago somebody saw a crowd of men and they were shouldering a coffin.
