  1. There is a very old graveyard in my district, known as Tully Burying Ground. Many people have been buried in it. It is said that this graveyard is more than four hundred years old.
    There is a large monument in the centre of the graveyard, the top of which was blown off hundreds of years ago with a storm, and was never replaced. Many graves in the seventeenth and eighteenth century were marked by a large flag placed upon two small walls. There are about a dozen such monuments in Tully Graveyard. There are many small iron and wooden crosses in this graveyard.
    Many greatly esteemed people were buried in this graveyard. Here are the names of some of them.
    Mrs Kerfox, wife of Major Kerfox who once lived at Ballysmash House died in the year 1901.
    The Rev., John D. McGarvey P.P. who once lived in Ballyare was buried here in 1888.
    Lady Hill, wife of Lord George Augusta Hill, died
