  1. Around Christmas time there are people who come out and go around the houses saying rhymes. There names are Gillespie, the game Sir, Doctor, Jack Straw, Beelzebub and the wren. Some of the rhymes are:-

    Room, room for the gallant boys and give us room to rhyme
    We'll show you some activity about the Christmas time.

    the like was never acted on the stage
    If you don't believe what I say I'll call in Gillespie and he will clear the way.

    I'll cut you up in inches in less than half an hour
    My head is made of iron my body is made of steel
    And with my sword and pistol
