  1. There are two forges in Milford. The people in the forges are very busy.
They fix ploughs, harrows, horse shoes, hoes, potato diggers, ploughs, gates, cultivators, grubbers, and other farm implements.
Some of the tools of the blacksmith keeps are the anvil, vice, bellows, boring machine, four tongs, pinchers, knife, rasp, hammer, three wrenches, sledge, stochs and dies.
He also keeps four boring bits, two cold chistels, draw knife, babbing punch, tub stamping nails, horse shoe iron (poc) poker, and chisel.
The black-smiths make horse shoes on the anvil and batter them round until they are the right shape.
The anvil is used for resting iron on if you want to hammer it out.
