  1. About 40 years ago there lived a man called Barney McLaughlin. He lived where Robert McElhinney's shop now stands. He was a carpenter and was locally known around Milford as "Barney the Moucher."
    One day he went over to McCausland's shop which was owned by Mr. Ian McCausland's grand-father at that time and asked Mr. McCausland for a pair of green specks. Mr McCausland asked him what he wanted the green specks for. "Well," said Barney "I have two mouchers of pigs and I have no feeding for them and no money to buy any; but, I have plenty of wood-shavings and I want the green specks to put on the pigs to make them believe that it is kale they are getting."
