  1. There is a fairy fort in Loughagannon called Bell Fort. There is another fairy fort behind Hugh O'Donnell's house in Loughagannon and the fairies stole a girl there once upon a time.
    In David Donnell's field in Castlebane, there is a fairy fort. Most of these forts are circular in shape. Tradition says that these fairies were formerly Danes. The owners of the land never interfered with these forts.

  2. There is a fairy fort in Glenleary. This fort is six yards high and a great many large stones are round it. People say that in olden times they fought here and a great many people were killed and buried at that spot. If you dig up the pound you will find the skeleton of a warrior's hand or head. A few years after this fairies were seen here among the bushes which grow there. These were covered with fairy lights at night. This place was always called the fort.
    There is a fairy rock near Falcarragh. One day two girls were coming from the fair, and they sat down on this rock to eat sweets and biscuits. When they were seated, they heard the noise of feet and
