  1. Girls string flowers and make dolls. Boys make guns and cradle birds to trap birds. Boys also snare hares and rabbits. When boys are going to snare rabbits or hares they make a little thing called a "dull".
    To make this little thing you get a piece of very thin wire and make it a round shape. Then when you are going to set this for rabbits or hares, you tie a piece of cord on a stick, and fasten the way that the rabbits or hares will not pull it way or get out of it again.
    In olden times people had not the same kind of dolls as what we have now.
    Boys and girls also make cats' cradles in the summer time.
