    Churn making
    Long ago people cut down very old oak trees, and after they were well dried and seasoned, they were cut into square logs. Then they were split into fine boards and planed very smoothly. Afterwards they were made into churns and hooped with strong iron.

  2. In olden times the people used to make their own candles.
    The way they used to make their own candles was this. They got a rush and they had to peel the skin off the rush, and they had to put on a pot - of "grease" and let it boil.
