- To remove warts you procure a black snail and rub the warts three nights in succession. Then leave the snail someplace, and as the snail dies the wart will die also.

To cure the "Mumps" it is said if you get somebody to put a pair of horses' "winkers" on you and lead you to the boundary between two landlords and the kneel down and take a drink out of a water hole the same as a horse, you will get better.
A cure for the measles is to go over two different bridges over the same water.
