- Landlord - Stewart of Ards - "Good".
Agent - Murphy - "Good".
Bailiffs - Robert Kennedy, Cuolboy, Letterkenny - "Good."
John McDermott, Calhame, Letterkenny - Bad - nick-named "cut-bag".
James Wasson, Dunfanaghy - "Very bad." - The "Greers" of Killyclug, Letterkenny - mother and 3 daughters evicted. The mother's name in Rent book was Mrs. Greer. She could not be prosecuted without the Christian name. On one occasion, her eldest daughter was asked by the Agent, for her mother's Christian name. She said that the neighbours always respected her mother so much that she never was called anything but "Mrs. Greer." Asked for her own Christian name, she replied "Mary Jane" In this name her mother was prosecuted and this led to the eviction, as unfortunately, it so happened that "Mary Jane" was the mother's name too.
The eviction followed shortly afterwards, and these Greers went to Derry.- Informant
