- There are two ways of making Boxty Bread. The first way is to get about one stone of potatoes and “grate” them as fine as oats. Then get a cloth and squeeze out the juice of the potatoes. The potatoes will then “bake” together.The way to cook Boxty Bread is to get a pair of tongs and spread them over the fire and put the bread on top. Let it cook for about an hour.
