    Going to leave you
    May peace ever dwell in your
    Valleys so green
    Where oft-times I roved by the
    Shades of the evening
    With charms of love there
    Plain to be seen.
    Your lovely green hills and
    Your sweet scented valleys
    Where the black-bird and
    Thrush there together you’ll
    See
    But I as an exile I am doomed
    For to wander
    Far over the Atlantic dear
    Erin from thee
    There is one crystal fountain

    Its charms of beauty still run

    It is elevated as queen of all
