When the bargain is made the owner and buyer clap hands and both go into a public-house until the seller gets the price of his animal. There is toll paid on stock about sixpence a head on cattle and one shilling paid on horses.
- Fairs were held in towns long ago, the same as they are today. Dealers used to go from house to house buying cattle, they do so up to the present day. There is a place for cows called the cow market outside the town where cows are kept. The horses go up and down the street. There is no toll paid(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
