    The day he was arrested
    Was a Sunday after Mass
    The man who arrested him
    was sub inspector Martin
    He had a broad sword in his hand
    He says "you are my prisoner"
    And with me come along
    The smitted golden Martin
    on the ground where did stand
    The placed him on a door and
    to barracks they did go
    The people boohed and groaned
    at him as they were going along.

  2. During the Penal Days when the priests were being arrested, there happened to be a priest reading mass in some lonely hill in Feymore. When the soldiers were following him he ran as fast as he could
