  1. Ten years rent is hidden in Ballymore hill. It was put there by the Danes. The Danes came in their boats to Ards strand and then crossed the hill and hid their gold.
    Many people have tried to get this gold. There is a tunnel leaving a road along this hill and going out at the Cashelmore Post Office. People often went through this tunnel to try and get the money but when they would go half way they could not go any farther on account of the foul air and so the rent still lies hidden here.
    So the Poet has it
    The Danish robbers took our gold,
    |They oftimes did before,
    And now its hid among the caves
