  1. Once upon a time there was a man living in the North who wanted a servant boy. So he went out one day looking for a boy, and he met one on the road.
    He asked the boy that he was looking for, and the boy said "A master". He said "I am looking for a boy", and he hired the boy then and there and took him home with him.
    The first thing he told the boy to do was to go out to the barn, and thresh the stack of corn. "All right!" said the boy, and away he went to the barn. When he came in to his dinner the master asked him had he much of the stack threshed. The boy said "I have it all threshed". Then the master went out to see if this were true. But when he went as far as the barn there was
